1. Regularly check the tire pressure every month. For household cars, it should be maintained at around 2.3 in summer and 2.5 in winter. 2. Nowadays, many high-end models have tire pressure digital displays, and low-end models can be installed by themselves. We just need to pay attention to these, but some Volkswagen models only have tire pressure alarm systems, so we can't see the values. Therefore, we have to go to the maintenance station regularly for inspection.
3. After replenishing the gas, make sure to have the maintenance worker carefully check for any leaks at the gas nozzle. Many cases are caused by the inflation needle not returning to its original position.
4. Regularly check the inner and outer sides of the tires for any hard injuries, especially the inner side which is difficult to detect, and this is also the biggest risk factor for high-speed driving. When there is time, it is necessary to remove hard objects such as stones from the tire tread to avoid damaging the tire surface.
5. Tires should also be carefully maintained in daily life, avoiding direct sunlight that can cause rubber aging. When washing the car, do not use inferior tire maintenance agents. When driving or parking, do not let the sidewall of the tire come into contact with hard objects, as this part is thin and fragile.
6. The standard for tire replacement should not be based on the service life. If there is damage to the tire sidewall or if the tire has been repaired more than four times, it must be replaced. There is also a situation where the tire has not worn down to the safety line but has cracks, it must be replaced.
Summary: The four tires of a vehicle are the four pillars of our lives and are indispensable. We must regularly perform dynamic balancing, four-wheel alignment, and tire rotation to ensure safe travel. Therefore, tires are also included in vehicle maintenance and cannot be ignored.
